The Tennessee Valley Authority Is Continuing Repair Work At Boone Dam. The Agency Will Be Installing Underground Sensors And Conducting A New Round Of Exploratory Drilling In The Coming Weeks. Engineers Decided More Information Was Needed Before Building A Concrete Wall To Stop The Flow Of Water. This Means Some Employees Hired For Drilling And Grouting Work Have Been Furloughed. Work Is Still On Track For The Boone Dam Project To Be Completed Between 2020 And 2022.
