A Johnson City Fire Department Task Force Is Making A Recommending Concerning The Fire Chief. The Task Force, Comprised Of 18 City Firefighters, Recommends The Removal Of Current Fire Chief Mark Scott. It Also Identified 16 Other Recommendations As Well To Address Internal Issues Within The Department. In January, City Manager Pete Peterson Created The Task Force After An Anonymous Employee Survey Revealed The Majority Of Firefighters Had Little Confidence In Scott’s Ability To Effectively Lead The Department.
