A Committee Made Up Of 50 People Has Been Assembled To Make Recommendations For The Greene County School System. The Move Is In Response To A Drop In Enrollment Numbers. The Committee Consists Of Teachers, Parents, High School Students, School Board Members, Principals, A Clergyman, County Commissioners, Assistant Directors And The Chief Financial Officer Of The School System. Over The Past 10 Years, Enrollment For School System Has Dropped By About 700 Students. Each Student Lost Costs The School System Nearly 6-Thousand Dollars In Funding. The Steering Committee Will Meet Later This Month. Results Are Expected By October.
