Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson Is Asking For 14.7 Million Dollars In Funding In His 2017-18 Fiscal Year Budget. This Is A Combined Increase Of 7.8 Million Over Last Year. This Comes On The Heels Of A 6.5 Million Dollar Lawsuit That’s Pending Against The County. Its Headed To Trial. The Increase Would Pay For A Two Percent Cost Of Living Raise For Employees, An Additional Pay Raise Of 15 Percent Of All Employees And Hiring A Total Of 66 Employees For His Office And The Jail. The Administrative Committee Will Meet Again On April 26th To Discuss The Request.
