A Settlement Has Been Reached In A Lawsuit Regarding A Funding Dispute Between Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable And Sheriff Wayne Anderson. Anderson Sued The County Nearly Two Years Ago After Millions Were Cut From His Budget. Under The Terms Of The Lawsuit, Anderson Will Receive Funding To Pay For A Five Percent Raise For His Employees And 18 New Employees. His Budget Will Include A 150-Thousand Dollar Fund For Discretionary Bonuses, The County Will Pay His Legal Fees And He’s Agreed Not To Sue The County Over Funding During The Budget Year That Starts On July 1st. The Sheriff Will Hold A Press Conference This Morning In Blountville.
