Christopher Smith Is Charged With Conspiracy To Sell Or Deliver More Than 300 Pounds Of Marijuana And Two Counts Of Official Misconduct. The Main Player In The Case, Jimmy Swafford Has Already Pled Guilty To Drug Charges And Is Serving Time In Prison. Prosecutors Said A Wiretap Was Used Over A 90 Day Period To Gain Information From Swafford’s Phone. Smith Has Maintained His Innocence All Along. It Will Be Up To Judge Robert Cupp To Determine If There’s Enough Evidence To Convict Smith. If Convicted, Smith Faces Up To 25 Years Behind Bars. A Verdict Is Expected In The Case This Week.
