Some Johnson County Public Officials Are Lashing Out At New Security Protocols At The County Courthouse In Mountain City. A Security Committee Under Tennessee Was Formed Last Year. The Committee Is Led By Sheriff Mike Reece. Recently, The Courthouse Received Several Security Upgrades, Including A Metal Detector That Everyone Has To Pass Through Before Entering The Courthouse. County Mayor Larry Potter And Several County Commissioners Are Apparently Opposed To The Changes. The Changes Came After A Study By The Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy Found The Safety Concerns.
