Deputy Josh Hopkins Is Charged With Second-Degree Murder Out Of North Carolina. The Charge Stems From An Incident In 2015 When Hopkins Was Still A Deputy With Ashe County. He Was Trying To Take A Firearm From Dallas Shatley’s Truck When The Vehicle Began Moving. Hopkins Was Able To Break Free And He And The Department’s Chief Deputy Fired At The Driver.
