A JOHNSON CITY MAN CONVICTED IN THE SHOOTING DEATH OF A JONESBOROUGH MAN HAS BEEN ORDERED TO SPEND TIME IN PRISON. A JURY FOUND 22 YEAR OLD DANNY GREENE GUILTY OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER EARLIER THIS YEAR AS A RESULT OF THE KILLING OF 21 YEAR OLD BRIAN RICKER. RICKER WAS GUNNED DOWN IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE DAYS INN ON BROWNS MILL ROAD IN JUNE 2005. SULLIVAN COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT JUDGE JERRY BECK ORDERED GREENE TO SPEND 23 YEARS BEHIND BARS. MEANWHILE, JASON AUSTIN, GREENE’S CO-DEFENDANT AND FIRST COUSIN, IS ALSO FACING SECOND DEGREE MURDER CHARGES. HE’S SCHEDULED TO GO TO TRIAL MARCH 17TH.
