A Proposed Sullivan County Student Athlete Drug Testing Proposal Is Continuing To Move Forward. It’s Headed Before A Policy Committee For Review. The Draft Policy, Which Would Add To The Current Drug Testing Policy Based On Reasonable Suspicion, Would Initiate Random Testing For Alcohol And Drugs For Student-Athletes, Cheerleaders And Those Involved In Extracurricular Activities And Clubs. If It Passes The Policy Committee, It’s Expected To Be Considered During The Next School Board Work Session March 29th.
