An Investigation Into Elizabethton High School Employees By The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office Has Found Mishandled Cash From Athletic Events And Concession Sales, And Maintained “Slush Fund” Generated By Employees Using The School’s Postage Machine To Send Private Parcels. The Comptroller Staff Looked Into Complaints Of Questionable Practices By Two High School Athletic Directors From July 2017 To February 2018. The Second Finding Related To The Schools Former Bookkeeper Who Alledgedly Used The Schools Mail Meter Machine For Private Postage. The School System Terminated The Bookkeeper In January. Investigators Also Found Improper Financial Practices Related To Some Athletics Boosters Programs.
