HENSON TRIAL UPDATE

TESTIMONY WILL CONTINUE TODAY IN THE TRIAL OF A BRISTOL VIRGINIA MAN ACCUSED IN THE BEATING DEATH AND ROBBERY OF A CITY MAN. 47 YEAR OLD GARY HENSON IS CHARGED WITH ROBBERY, CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT ROBBERY, AND FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE KILLING OF 54 YEAR OLD JERRY STOUT. ONE OF THREE DOCTORS TESTIFIED YESTERDAY SAYING STOUT HAD SIGNIFICANT HEAD AND FACIAL INJURIES ON HIS LEFT SIDE AND EXTENSIVE BLEEDING. HE DIED A SHORT TIME LATER AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL. MEANWHILE, ANGELA DILLARD, WHO PLED GUILTY EARLIER THIS WEEK TO HER PART IN THE CRIME, TESTIFIED IT WAS HER IDEA TO ROB STOUT AND SHE HIT HIM ONCE. TAMMY WILLIAMS, WHO ALSO PLED GUILTY EARLIER TO HER PART, TESTIFIED SHE SAW HENSON WITH A YELLOW PIPE HITTING STOUT. A VERDICT IN THE TRIAL IS EXPECTED FOR AWHILE.
