OFFICIALS WITH WELLMONT HEALTH SYSTEM’S MARSH REGIONAL BLOOD CENTER SAY THEY ARE IN CRITICAL NEED OF O-NEGATIVE BLOOD. WITH THE HOLIDAY SEASON APPROACHING, BLOOD CENTER OFFICIALS HAVE ISSUED AN EMERGENCY APPEAL FOR THE BLOOD. TO FURTHER COMPOUND THE PROBLEM, THE NUMBER OF BLOOD DRIVES THAT CAN BE SCHEDULED DURING THE WEEK OF THANKSGIVING ARE REDUCED. HOWEVER, YOU CAN GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE ON FRIDAY FROM 8:30 AM TO 4PM AT THE MARSH REGIONAL BLOOD CENTER IN BRISTOL TENNESSEE AND DURING THE SAME HOURS IN KINGSPORT AT THE JULIA DAVIS COLLECTION CENTER. TO DONATE BLOOD, DONORS MUST BE AT LEAST 17, WEIGH 110 POUNDS OR MORE, AND BE IN GOOD GENERAL HEALTH.
