A Lawsuit Has Been Filed In Wise County Virginia Circuit Court By Five People Against The Town Of Pound Virginia. The Plaintiffs Are Former Town Attorney And Current Police Officer, Tim McAfee, His Law Partner Kristen McAfee, Council Members Danny Stanley And Glenn Cantrell, And Resident Sharon Dean. The Lawsuit Names Mayor Stacey Carson, New Council Member Susan Downs-Freeman And The Town As Defendants. The Tiff Is Regarding The Process Followed To Fill The Resigned Council Member Phil Cantrell Jr’s Seat To Downs-Freeman.
