Kingsport Leaders Continue To Push Forward With A Proposed 83-Million Dollar Spending Plan For The 2021-22 Fiscal Year Budget, Which Calls For No Property Tax Increase. The Plan Includes A Two Percent Pay Increase For All Employees, A Five Percent Hike In Health Insurance Costs And A 16-Million Dollar Rainy Day Fund. Also Included In The Spending Plan, A 5-Percent Water And Sewer Rate Increase For All Customers Inside And Outside Of The City. Officials Are Expected To Vote To Approve The Budget On Two Readings In June.
