YOUNG TO GO TO COURT

A BRISTOL TENNESSEE MAN ACCUSED OF ABDUCTING HIS ESTRANGED WIFE AT GUNPOINT AND TAKING HER TO ANOTHER STATE WILL APPEAR IN SULLIVAN COUNTY COURT TOMORROW. DOUG YOUNG IS ALLEGED TO HAVE KIDNAPPED HIS WIFE HEATHER ON JANUARY 4TH AFTER HE HAD BEEN CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY AND PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING HER THE MONTH BEFORE AND WAS FREE ON BOND. THE COUPLE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A DIVORCE AND THERE WAS A TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST DOUG YOUNG. YOUNG WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN CLAYTON GEORGIA. HE WAIVED EXTRADITION BACK TO TENNESSEE TO FACE THE CHARGES. HE’S ALSO CHARGED WITH FELONY FAILURE TO APPEAR AFTER HE MISSED A PRELIMINARY HEARING ON A RAPE CHARGE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES ARE EXPECTED TO BE FILED AGAINST HIM THIS WEEK.
