The Smyth County Virginia Sheriff’s Office Is Investigating A House Fire That Left One Person Dead. It Happened Yesterday Morning At A Home On Shawnee Trail. Sheriff Chip Shuler Said The Identity Of The Deceased Has Not Been Released Pending The Results Of An Autopsy. Virginia State Police Are Assisting In The Investigation And Are Trying To Determine The Cause Of The Fire.
