The Tennessee Valley Authority Has Extended Its Contract With Nuclear Fuel Services In Erwin For The Downblending Of Highly Enriched Uranium. The $122 Million Contract Involves Mixing Highly Enriched Uranium With Natural Uranium, Creating Low Enriched Uranium For Commercial And National Defense Purposes. The New Contract Runs From July Of Next Year Through June 2027. NFS Was Awarded A $300 Million U.S. Navy Contract Last Year For The Production Of Nuclear Reactor Fuel For Submarines And Aircraft Carriers.
