The Bristol Virginia School System Will Cut 32 Positions This Upcoming School Year. This Is Due To A Combination Of Consolidating Four Elementary Schools Into Two And The End Of The Federal Elementary And Secondary School Emergency Relief Funding. Three Of Those Are Teaching Positions. The Good News Is, Despite These Changes, The Division Expects To Retain, Relocate Or Create Roughly 16 Positions.  School Leaders Are Busy Working On A Rough Draft Of The Proposed 49-Million Dollar Spending Plan For The Upcoming Fiscal Year, Which Begins July 1st.
