The Greene County Detention Center Is Struggling With Disciplinary Issues Due To Limited Space. Jail Administrator, John Key, Said There Are Only Three Cells Available To Separate Inmates And Those In The Lockup See This As An Opportunity To Try To Get Away With Breaking The Rules Without Facing Accountability. On Average, There Are Roughly 60 People Housed In The Jail Waiting To Face Penalties For Minor Offenses. As A Temporary Solution, A Housing Pod In The Jail Has Been Converted To Create More Space For Separating Inmates. Jail Officials Say At Some Point, This Issue Will Be Revisited.
