Roughly 230 Revisions Have Been Made By Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin To The General Assembly’s Proposed Budget For The Upcoming Fiscal Year. His Original Tax Package Was Dropped And He Seeks To Have The General Assembly Remove Its Expansion On Sales Tax. Despite All The Changes, Enough Money Has Been Left To Cover The Cost Of Giving Teachers And State Employees A 3-Percent Raise. Legislators Will Return To Richmond April 17th To Take Up Working Through The Governor’s Vetoes And Proposed Amendments. The New Fiscal Year Begins July 1st.
