The Carter County Sheriff’s Office Is Investigating An Incident In Which A Two Year Old Child Was Struck By A Lawnmower. It Happened On Gap Creek Road In The Hampton Community. Authorities Said The Child Suffered A Serious Leg Injury And Was Airlifted To Niswonger Children’s Hospital In Johnson City. Authorities Said A Family Member Was Mowing When The Lawnmower Stuck On A Swing Set And When They Went To Reverse It, They Were Unaware The Child Had Run Behind The Mower While Chasing A Dog. The Child’s Condition Is Unknown.
