Bristol Virginia Leaders Are Taking Action Against The Owners Of The Former Virginia Intermont College. The Eye Sore Sits In The Middle Of The City And The Property And Its Buildings Are Considered Blighted. The City Council Passed An Ordinance Last Night On First Reading To Raise Property Taxes For Its Owner By 5%. The Property On Moore Street Is Owned By A Chinese Company, Based Out Of New York. The City Has Made An Effort For Years To Work With Them. The Ordinance Will Have To Be Approved On Second Reading.
