The County Budget Committee Met Yesterday Morning And Cut Eight Cents From The Highway Fund And Considered A New Budget Proposal From The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office. However, None Of The Numbers Were Set In Stone During The Meeting. The New Budget Could Include A Nearly 24 Cent Property Tax Increase. The Final Numbers Should Be Known At The Next Budget Meeting, Which Is Set For July 15th.
