Washington County Tennessee Leaders Are Expected To Possibly Take Up A Vote Tonight On Funding A Nearly $100 Million Budget For The County School System. The Fiscal Year 2026 Spending Plan Includes An 8-Million Dollar Shortfall Being Primarily Driven By Increased Costs From Teacher Pay Raises Under The Teacher Paycheck Protection Act And Continued Funding For Free Meal Programs. The Spending Plan Was Approved Last Week By The School Board.
