The press secretary for U-S Representative David Davis said he deleted unflattering information about his boss from his biography on an Internet encyclopedia. Timothy Hill used a congressional office computer to edit the Wikipedia sites of the Johnson City Republican and his brother, state Representative Matthew Hill. Hill said he was not familiar with the Web site and was simply trying to perform his job. But a spokesman for the Tennessee Democratic Party questioned whether Hill’s actions were appropriate. Hill tried to remove references to political contributions to both his brother and Davis by former King Pharmaceuticals C-E-O John Gregory as well as other ties to his family. The text has been restored. Hill said it was a mistake that will not be repeated.
