Johnson City Leaders Have Decided Against Annexing Land In Order For A New Low-Income Housing Complex To Be Built. The City Housing Authority Wants To Construct 93 Units Off Huffine Road. The Property Is Currently Within County Limits But The Housing Authority Wanted The City To Annex It To Gain Access To City Services. Even Though The City Has Declined To Approve The Annexation, The Project Can Still Move Forward. JCHA Executive Director Richard McClain Said The Next Step Is To Apply For State Funding.
