A BRISTOL VIRGINIA JUDGE HAS DENIED A MOTION BY THE DEFENSE IN THE CASE OF FOUR PEOPLE ACCUSED OF KILLING A HOMELESS MAN. ATTORNEYS FOR GARY HENSON, ANGELA DILLARD, TAMMY WILLIAMS AND RICHARD LEWIS ASKED A JUDGE TO ALLOW EVIDENCE FROM A NOW DECEASED WITNESS, BUT JUDGE JERRY WOLFE SAID THE EVIDENCE FALLS UNDER THE HEARSAY RULE AND IS INADMISSIBLE. THE FOUR ARE CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE KILLING OF JERRY STOUT LAST SEPTEMBER. HE WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS AND BLEEDING IN AN OVERGROWN AREA KNOWN AS “THE JUNGLE”. HE LATER DIED. THE FOUR ARE SCHEDULED FOR TRIAL IN TWO WEEKS.
