A BRISTOL VIRGINIA COUPLE HAS BEEN CONVICTED ON DRUG CHARGES. 27 YEAR OLD AMANZA JAMES POLLINO AND 19 YEAR OLD AMBER MARIE LAWS WERE FOUND GUILTY OF CONSPIRACY TO DISTRIBUTE AND POSSESS WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE FIVE GRAMS OR MORE OF CRACK COCAINE AND POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE FIVE GRAMS OR MORE OF CRACK COCAINE. AFTER STOPPING POLLINO’S CAR, POLICE FOUND CRACK COCAINE AND CASH IN HIS VEHICLE. IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR, AUTHORITIES FOUND CRACK COCAINE, MARIJUANA, SCALES, AND OTHER DRUG-RELATED ITEMS AT A HOME THE TWO SHARED IN BRISTOL VIRGINIA. POLLINO FACES A MANDATORY SENTENCE OF TEN YEARS FOR BEING A REPEAT OFFENDER, A POTENTIAL MAXIMUM SENTENCE OF LIFE IN PRISON, AND POSSIBLY A MAXIMUM FINE OF 8-THOUSAND DOLLARS. LAWS FACES A MANDATORY TERM OF FIVE YEARS IMPRISONMENT, POSSIBLY A MAXIMUM SENTENCE OF 40 YEARS IN PRISON, AND A FINE OF 4-THOUSAND DOLLARS. THE TWO ARE SET TO BE SENTENCED ON JANUARY 23RD.
