The Scott County Virginia Sheriff’s Office Is Warning The Public About A Phone Scam. The Calls Are Coming From What Appear To Be Local Phone Numbers Claiming That Victims’ Apple Accounts Have Been Breached Or Something Similar Regarding Personal Information. Most Of The Calls Are Occurring In The Nickelsville, Duffield, And Blackwater Areas. The Sheriff’s Office Warns To Never Release Personal Or Account-Related Information Over The Phone. Those Who Do Should Contact Their Bank And Monitor Their Credit Score.
