Wellmont Health Systems Has Lost Its Appeal Before The Tennessee Supreme Court Over A 58 Million Dollars Judgement Again It In A Previous Breach Of Contract Case. The Decision Means Ballad Must Now Pay The 58 Million Plus Accrued Interest To The Plaintiff, Highlands Physicians Inc. And Its Affiliated Practitioners. Former Wellmont President And CEO Denny Denarvaez Negotiated And Signed A Letter Of Agreement With Cigna, Which Ultimately Pitted Wellmont Against The Pho In Competition For A Contract With Cigna. Ballad Officials Had No Comment On The Judge’s Ruling.
