Washington County Tennessee Leaders Are Set To Take Up Several Key Items When They Meet Tonight. They Could Decide To Increase The Lodging Tax By 1-Percent In Johnson City And By 3-Percent In Jonesborough. The Additional Money Generated Would Have To Be Used For Tourism Efforts. In Other Business, County Leaders Could Make A Decision On Purchasing The Former Citi Building In Gray For Just Over 4-Million Dollars. The County Wants To Use Part Of The Building For The Public Library And The Remainder For Other Official Uses. The Meeting Gets Underway Tonight At 6pm.
