The Carter County Financial Management Committee Has Held A Meeting To Work Through Multiple Issues Found By A Recent Audit Conducted By The Tennessee Comptroller Of The Treasury. There Were Over 10 Findings In That Report. County Finance Director, Carolyn Watson, Worked With The Commission To Suggest Ways To Correct Shortcomings While Making Sure There Are Adequate Controls In Place To Avoid Future Issues. The County Partnered With Johnson City Accounting Firm, Blackburn, Childers, And Steagall To Provide Assistance And Advice On Maintaining Accounting Records.
