SULLIVAN COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING A STABBING INCIDENT THAT LEFT A COUNTY MAN INJURED EARLY THIS MORNING. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO 225 KANTON ROAD IN COLONIAL HEIGHTS AROUND 5 A.M.. AFTER THEY ARRIVED ON THE SCENE, THE RESIDENT, LAWRENCE EDICK TOLD POLICE HE HAD BEEN STABBED, BUT DIDN’T KNOW BY WHOM. HE TOLD POLICE HE THOUGHT HE HEARD SOMEONE OUTSIDE HIS DOOR, BUT WHEN HE OPENED IT HE SAW NO ONE. THEN HE SAID HE FELT A PAIN IN HIS CHEST AND SAW SOME BLOOD. HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO WELLMONT HOLSTON VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER, WHERE HE WAS TREATED FOR HIS INJURY. LT. B.J. RICHARDSON WITH THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAID THEY HAVE VERY FEW LEADS IN THE CASE AT THIS TIME.
