The American Rescue Plan Includes Stimulus Money For Our Local Communities In Northeast Tennessee And Southwest Virginia. Sullivan County Is Set To Receive Just Over 30-Million Dollars. County Mayor Richard Venable Says There’s No Guidance Issued Yet From The Federal Government On How The Money Can Be Spent. He Said He Has Ideas Centered Around Services Provided That Are Related To Covid. Other Counties Receiving Funding Are Washington, Green, Hawkins, Carter, Unicoi And Johnson. Eight Counties In Southwest Virginia Will Be Receiving Federal Monies As Well.
